Why Silly Goose?

I use the term "Silly Goose" with my kids all the time. Like "quit acting like a silly goose" or "oh, you silly goose". I just really like the phrase. It's usually not something you would say to an adult. I also like geese. Have you seen GMFL written on anything. Sometimes people get it inscribed inside their wedding bands. It stands for Geese Mate for Life. Isn't that cool! Look at these guys... arn't they cute?

Happy Saturday

I can't wait for this evening. Glen and I are going to visit one of my oldest and dearest friends and her family. It's so nice to connect with someone from your past. Someone who was actually there when you were a kid and understands completely what you're talking about when you tell those crazy stories. I can't believe how many old friends I've gotten back in touch with thanks to facebook. Some of them even live really close. What a Happy Saturday!

Karlie's 12

I can't believe that Karlie is 12 today. Where does the time go? Next year she'll be a teenager. I just got back from the grocery store where I picked up cupcakes and 12 mylar balloons. In a few weeks we are celebrating by going to see Blue Man Group in Chicago.

Moving On Over

I had my blog somewhere else and wasn't very happy. I've moved over here and have high expectations! Today is one of those rainy, gloomy days. This will give me something to do. I was hoping to take Karlie to the park today for some new photos. I guess that's not happening. I saw the cutest shirt on a little boy today. It said "Lock Up Your Daughters". I'm on a quest to find one for Ian. I also discovered a wonderful web site today. It is www.etsy.com They have tons of really neat handmade stuff.
